Cameraman Tower Defense: Unit Upgrade Guide

Last updated 2026-10-10Unofficial player article

Compare final damage, speed, and helper upgrades, then budget for the useful end state before spending match cash across unfinished units.

Cameraman Tower Defense upgrades can change damage, attack speed, or whether a unit deals damage at all. Plan the final investment before judging the unit: Titan Cameraman, Glitch Cameraman, Upgraded Videotaper Prototype, and Engineer Cameraman have different important late gains.

Unit Upgrade Guide: gameplay contextCompare the important final-upgrade effects before spreading your investment.

Damage and attack speed are different upgrades

Titan Cameraman's described final upgrade doubles damage. Glitch Cameraman rises from 2,000 to 6,000 damage per second at its final upgrade. Upgraded Videotaper Prototype doubles attack speed without raising damage per hit. These effects improve output through different mechanisms.

Compare the value you are actually changing. A faster attack can improve output even when the per-hit damage number stays the same. Conversely, a large advertised maximum is not the output of an unfinished unit.

Some units require a completed commitment

Engineer Cameraman's helpers block the path before the final upgrade and begin dealing damage at maximum upgrade. It therefore asks for a different spending plan from an attacker that contributes damage throughout its levels. Do not buy it as an instant fix for a target you are already failing to defeat.

Finishing one useful unit before placing the next is a sensible progression priority. Keep room for exceptions when another position is necessary to stop enemies reaching a part of the route your current investment cannot help.

Budget for the useful end state

Reported maximum-upgrade totals include about 8,500 match cash for Titan Cameraman, 13,500 for Glitch Cameraman, and 21,000 for Upgraded Videotaper Prototype. These are comparison snapshots, so use the live upgrade price when committing cash after a balance change.

Do not compare a cheap first placement with an expensive fully upgraded tower as though they are equivalent purchases. The total you need to reach the intended role is part of what makes the unit practical for your match.

FAQ

Is every final upgrade just more damage per hit?

No. The Videotaper example changes attack speed, while Engineer changes when its helpers begin dealing damage.

Where should I compare the whole team?

Use the lineup guide to decide which unit deserves that investment first.
